June is a great month! National Jerky Day (June 12) AND Father’s Day (June 15) jam-packed into one wonderful week!

Dad’s give the best advice - even if we don’t take it!   EVENTUALLY,  we figure out that we should have listened, and that Dad was so much wiser than we thought! Sometimes we just need to become parents ourselves before that message clicks….

One thing kids and Dads can agree on is snacks. JERKY is a snack.  Agreeing on a flavor may be more difficult, but that usually depends on who is paying for said “Jerky”.  Little kids request Teriyaki, Mild Hickory or Maple and Brown Sugar.  Dads may want a little more zing in their flavors like the Wicked Awesome, Grim Reaper or Mango Habanero.  So how do you choose to agree?  Compromise!  Sweet & Hot, Brazilian Steakhouse or Applewood Beef Jerky have all the taste and flavor without being too sweet OR too spicy.  Made fresh in our Lincoln, NE retail store, you won’t find a more nutritious snack for work, play or any day!  A great travel treat for anyone on the go.  If you can’t agree on a flavor,  here’s my TWO suggestions: 

1. Make your own with our jerky marinade and online recipes 

2. Buy them all!  

They won’t go to waste because no one leaves jerky unattended and it is still there when they return!  Besides, with National Jerky Day on June 12th, you can stock up and choose your favorites PLUS a few for your Dad.  Everybody wins!
