NCAA “Big Dance” ….coming to Big (TV) screens everywhere!

Who is your favorite NCAA basketball team this year - and how is that bracket looking???

Of course, you can’t watch the big games without snacks! Whether you make your own wild game or beef jerky with Smoking Gun marinade or purchase a bag of beef jerky directly from our store, we know it’s a great addition to any sport.

Owners Rian Hall and Joe Perez have differing favorites - in JERKY and in NCAA basketball!

Rian’s bracket pick is Florida and Joe will be cheering on Iowa State.  We shall see who the winner is, but watch out for a Cinderella team to eliminate the top contenders this year!  Following the college hoops and your favorite team all year - or just picking a name out of a hat at tournament time - everyone becomes a fan during March Madness.  It sure creates a lot of fun around here!

In the beef jerky category, you (our customers)  keep a wide variety of flavor options in the top bracket slots.  Funny how our taste buds differ, just like in basketball.   We have the traditional Mild Hickory and Teriyaki fans, while on the other end of the spectrum, our hot and spicy FIRE flavors prevail. The “pepper heads” choose the Sweet & Hot, Grim Reaper and Can’t Fix Stupid beef jerky options. Then there are the savory fans who like Applewood and Brazilian Steakhouse, Tennessee Whiskey and Black Pepper Garlic beef jerky.  While all of the Smoking Gun Jerky of Nebraska flavors are “winners”, there is always a favorite.

For Owner Rian - you can bet he will choose Wicked Awesome every time.  Owner Joe likes the sweeter taste of Maple Brown Sugar.

Choosing your favorite (whether jerky or college team) is a great way to spend time with friends and family - and we ask that you ALWAYS include jerky with your past time activities! 🙂

Whoever you're rooting for, know that they are all winners!  Making it to the tournament is a win in itself.  Hope you have a bracket buster in your hands!
