IT'S LINCOLN MARATHON WEEK!!!

Kris Hall

Living life to the fullest-with goals and direction!

Health and fitness is a major objective for partner/owner Joe Perez.  Joe has participated as a runner in the full Lincoln marathon 4 times and in the half marathon he thinks 2 more times.  Joe also volunteers each year in whatever capacity is needed.  He is a strong supporter of  the Lincoln Running Community and assists and participates in other runs across the state.

“As a runner, it’s imperative to find a protein source that boosts your body after a run”, Joe says.  “ Beef Jerky is a nutritious source for that and Smoking Gun Jerky of Nebraska, with their small-batch flavors and no preservative recipes has the absolute best and freshest product on the market!   The addition of the sodium, the calories and the overall flavor is a great snack to have after a big race.”

The Lincoln, Marathon is celebrating its 48th race this year. Imagine how many runners have trained and participated over those 48 years!  There are divisions for those of all ages and abilities and we salute those who cross the finish line in whatever way they are able!

We want to thank all of the volunteers who support the event.  If you have a similar run in your area, we hope you will encourage, support and volunteer for any opportunity to make a great event for all those involved.

Support your own personal snacking habits, too, with Smoking Gun’s great beef jerky products sold online or in-store.  Mild or spicy, sweet or savory - you can even contribute to  your own well-being from the crowd while supporting a dedicated small business!

What a wonderful feeling it must be to cross that finish line! Wishing each of you the opportunity to find your own direction and to set goals to attain them!
