Great for road trips, snack time and sharing with friends

Do the weeks before Memorial Day and those first weeks of June cause you to feel renewed?  For some reason, I get a fresh sense of anticipation when it’s time for summer sunshine to roll my way again.  The end of the school year, the start of summer freedoms and the beginning of the next chapter; all those new opportunities stand in front of me and I feel ready to step forward to whatever the new days hold.  For me, it’s the annual trek back to Auburn, Nemaha, Shubert, Stella, Falls City and Brownville, Nebraska.   Back to my stomping grounds - in the rural area that I grew-up in.  Small towns and back roads, old friends and memories, visiting the graves of relatives from long ago.  It’s the start of Farmer’s Markets and festivals and I relish the thought of seeing people from my past that molded me into who I am today.  Because Smoking Gun Jerky of Nebraska sets up a vendor space to sell our fresh beef jerky at many markets and events, it’s the perfect opportunity for me to reconnect with my past.
